Music and Wellness Minor

This minor, designed for any student regardless of prior formal musical training, allows students to explore the connection between music, mindfulness, and well-being. It also provides opportunities to discover ways to lead evidence-based music and wellness techniques with others.   

This minor is a good match for any musically interested student who will be directly affecting the well-being of other people including (but not limited to) those majoring in Health Sciences, Education, Psychology, Sociology, the Humanities and Social Work. 

Minor Requirements (15 credits)


Choose 3 Music Foundation Credits from the following courses:


Choose 3 Applied Music credits from the following courses:


(MUS 131, 141, 151, and 161 taken for 1 credit and repeatable up to three times each)

Additional Minor Requirements:


  • Attend or perform in a minimum of two Fine Arts related CES events per semester

    (Tracked via CES swipe system) Fall & Spring
