PHYA 494 - Clinical Skills

Discusses the indications and contraindications with appropriate pre-procedure and post-procedure concerns for various clinical skills. Lab sessions devoted to specific techniques for common procedures such as injections, venipuncture, suturing, nasogastric tubes, urinary catheterization, etc. Lecture and lab sessions are augmented by scheduled clinical experiences which allow the student opportunity to further develop skills introduced in this course.
