ENGL 381 - Modern, Modernism, Modernity: Treading the Global Waters in Literature (3 credits) The global literature of the 20th century depicts the modern world as a place of shifting perspectives, uncertainty, and the loss of values. This course interrogates what the modern world is and whether the literature it produces can be called modern. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 104 . As needed.
