MGMT 335 - Financing Entrepreneurial Ventures (3 credits) This course will demystify key financing concepts to give entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs a guide to secure funding. The course examines the many financing options available to get a new venture funded. Learn the basics of finance, valuations, and dilutive and non-dilutive funding sources. Understand the capital structure for new ventures, term sheets and how to negotiate them, the differences between early-stage versus later-stage financing, and how and when companies should execute an exit. Legal and regulatory issues around financing new ventures will also be covered. Prerequisite(s): MGMT 331 and MGMT 333 . Fall.
