PSYC 404 - Psychopharmacology

(3 credits)
This course involves the study of drugs used for treatment of mental disorders, as well as drugs of abuse.  Topics include drug effects in humans, mechanisms of drug action, research directed towards understanding the neural basis of drug action, and behavioral models used in preclinical drug testing.  Prerequisite(s):  PSYC 101  and PSYC 314  or NEUR 279 , but exceptions may be granted with instructor’s permission.  Fall - odd years
