PSYC 312 - Research Methods and Statistics II

(3 credits)
This community engaged course is a continuation, or Part 2 course, that will enable students to complete the research project proposed by the end of PSYC 311. Students who have not completed PSYC 311 will not be allowed to enroll in this course. Students will learn more complex research design issues as they continue to critically read research, gain experience ethically testing participants, statistically analyze and graph data, and write up a full APA-style research report of their findings. This course will culminate in a brief overview of research findings sent to community partners. Emphasis will also be placed on single-subject designs, basics of qualitative research and content analysis, and program evaluation. Continued experience with Excel and SPSS will be required, and training will be provided on use of SurveyMonkey for online survey administration. Prerequisites:   and    recommended. Spring
