WS 398 - Internship in Women’s Studies (3-6 credits) The integration of classroom theory with practical work experience under which students are employed either full or part time, with or without pay. The credits earned may vary from three to six, depending upon the internship, but no more than three credits may be counted toward the major or minor elective requirements; additional credits can be counted as free electives. Credits for internships may be earned twice as long as the work site is different the second time. In this case, the student could earn six credits toward the major but is still limited to three for the minor. Open only to Women’s Studies majors or minors. Students must secure approval from the program director prior to engaging in an internship. A minimum of twelve credits in Women’s Studies major or collateral courses is required before a student can request an internship in Women’s Studies. (See Dr. Cadwallader) Prerequisite(s): WRIT 102 and a minimum of twelve credits in Women’s Studies major or collateral courses. As needed.
