FNP 609 - Family Nurse Practitioner Role II

This course includes issues unique to the advanced practice nurse, family nurse practitioner role. Topics that are discussed include transitioning into the role of primary care provider, independent and collaborate roles within the concept of full practice authority, models of health care delivery within a changing and evolving health care environment, business concepts, and the Consensus Model. The course includes strategies and opportunities for preparation for the national certification examination and information on the application process for state licensure and prescribing privileges.
