EDUC 125 - PDE Mathematics Preparation

This course prepares pre-service teachers to understand foundational mathematics concepts necessary to perform the duties of a classroom teacher. The course covers basic mathematics competencies assessed on the PDE basic skills examinations including: understand numbers and the number system; apply principles of algebra to expressions and equations; apply principles of algebra to linear and nonlinear functions; understand measurement concepts and geometry principles; demonstrate knowledge of data, statistics, and probability; understand problem solving, reasoning, and mathematical communication. Required clearances will be needed to participate in field experiences.
