PSYC 205 - Psychopathology

The nature of behavioral, mental, and personality disorders. This course, formerly titled Abnormal Psychology, focuses on diagnosable disorders according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fifth Edition. Categories of disorders to be covered include the following: addiction, sexual disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, mood disorders and neurocognitive disorders among others. Discussion of physiological, mental, cultural, and interpersonal factors is emphasized. Prerequisite: PSYC 101. Fall, Spring, and Summer
