SCWK 310 - Human Behavior in the Social Environment

(3 credits)
This course offers a systems theory approach to study the interaction of the individual and his environment in relations families, groups and larger social systems and institutions; the interrelationship between the biological and cultural characteristics of diverse groups and their life chances and life styles; the framework of social work practice which utilizes existing human and social resources in helping individuals and groups; the developmental stages of the individual and how it relates to their interactions with other systems. Prerequisite(s):  SCWK 203 . If a student wants to register for SCWK 310, the student must have successfully completed SCWK 203 previously, and if not, the student must register for both SCWK 310 and SCWK 203 concurrently. Fall.
