EDUC 150 - Educational Psychology

(3 credits)

This course addresses education from three perspectives: students, learning and teaching. Topics of study include human development, the psychological basis of learning and behavior, classroom management, assessment, and appropriate instructional strategies for diverse populations. Course projects and experiences incorporate multiculturalism, discipline, motivation, and teaching in the least restrictive environment. Prerequisite(s):

PSYC 101

. Students will complete four hours of field experience in an area school or educational setting. Required clearances will be needed to participate in field experiences.
