MLE 619 - Leadership in Measurement and Outcomes Evaluation (3 credits) This is a required course in the MSN program in Leadership/Education. This course focuses on approaches to inquiry into the effectiveness of programs in health care and/or nursing education using evidence-based guidelines, benchmarks, and regulatory and professional standards. Students explore benchmarks applicable in practice and educational settings and nationally accepted quality measures. They are guided in evaluation of the validity and reliability of existing measures as well as exploration of alternative approaches to program evaluation through qualitative, mixed methods, and participative approaches. Prerequisite(s): MSN 501 , MSN 502 . Spring.
