Classification of materials, atomic structure, periodic table, molecular structure, bonding in solid materials, structure of crystalline solids, mechanical properties and failure of materials, phase diagrams, properties and use of polymers, ceramics, glasses, composites, steels, cast irons, and aluminum alloys.
