MPH 521 - Principles of Epidemiology (3 credits) This course introduces the basic concepts and principles of epidemiology, providing a foundational understanding of prevention, disease surveillance, prevalence, and determinants of health. Encompassing the various types of study design, including randomized trials, case-control and cohort studies, to illustrate the application of epidemiologic methods and inferences in health evaluation, and projected rates of morbidity and mortality. Prerequisite(s): MPH 516 . Fall.
