PNGE 233 - Reservoir Rock and Fluid Properties (3 credits) Thermodynamic behavior of naturally occurring hydrocarbon mixtures at standard and reservoir conditions; Evaluation and correlation of physical properties of petroleum reservoir fluids; Systematic study of physical properties of petroleum reservoir rocks including lithology, porosity, relative and effective permeability, fluid saturations, capillary characteristics, compressibility, rock stress, and fluid-rock interaction. Prerequisite(s): GEOL 205 Physical and Structural Geology , MATH 121 Calculus I , CHEM 122 General Chemistry II . Concurrent with PNGE 233L . Spring.
