DOL 801 - Organizational Development and Practices

In this course, students will examine theories and applications associated with organizational development and structures within a global community with specific focus on improving organizational effectiveness. Students will examine structures within their own organizations, compare and contrast those structures to other global organizations of similar size. Students will apply theory and best practices to organizational development as they build their own theories that influence organizational effectiveness and success. Topics include managing the challenges of planned and unplanned change, the role of the organization development practitioner; processes associated with organizational change, organizational transformation and an exploration of the trends and future of organizations. Spring.
