AAHE 201 - Introduction to Animal Assisted-Health & Education

(3 credits)
This course is designed to provide an appreciation and understanding of the field animal-assisted interventions (AAI), as they can be applied towards health and education (e.g., animal-assisted therapy, education, and activities; AAT, AAE and AAA, respectively). Specific topics will be dedicated to the human-animal bond, animals in human lives, animal ethics, welfare and advocacy.  Can be substituted with PSYC 420 ‘Canine Learning & Behavior. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 101 Introduction to Psychology   (Spring module II)
