OT 506 - Introduction to Health Promotion, Planning, & Programming (1 credit) This is a community engaged course that prepares the student to create, implement, and evaluate community-based occupational therapy services. Students will demonstrate, evaluate, and utilize the principles of the teaching-learning process using educational methods and health literacy education approaches: To design activities and clinical training for persons, groups, and populations; to instruct and train the client, caregiver, family, significant others, and communities at the level of the audience. This course will assist students in preparing for the leadership/scholarly project in the spring semester. Prerequisites: Successful completion of Summer I coursework. Fall.
