OT 517 - The Occupational Therapy Process in Mental Health Conditions & Psychosocial Wellbeing

This course will explore the history of mental illness in our society as well as the impact of laws on treatment and access to occupational therapy services. Students will examine and build skills in psychosocial interventions used in occupational therapy. Students will examine the theoretical basis, evaluation tools and practice application of individual, group and consultation psychosocial interventions used by occupational therapists. Lab included. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all Summer I and Fall I coursework. Spring.
