OT 521 - Professionalism: Inter/Intra Professional Perspectives

This course explores the role of the OT as an interdisciplinary team member, which includes an examination of other team members (PT, SLP, Psychologist, teacher, OTA, etc), and includes an in-depth exploration of the role of the occupational therapy assistant (OTA). Students learn collaborative techniques including emotional intelligence and role-playing scenarios. Level I Fieldwork preparation and assignments are included in this course. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all Summer I and Fall I coursework. Spring.
