EDUC 231 - Child Growth and Development(3 credits) This course addresses physical, psychological, cognitive and affective human development from birth through adolescence; emphasis is placed on the pre k -4, the middle-school aged child, and adolescence. Included in this course is consideration of the development of the young ELL, children with disabilities and those children who come from diverse backgrounds. Health-related issues are discussed. Clinical experiences will be provided in Head Start, pre k classrooms, elementary schools and in high schools.Prerequisite: PSYC 101 .Fall.
