HIST 332 - Modern Britain and Empire(3 credits) In this course, students will learn about major events, figures, and developments in modern Britain and the British Empire. Students will examine significant social, political, religious, and cultural institutions as these evolved and changed from the eighteenth century until the twentieth century. Special emphasis will be afforded to the creation, extension, and decline of the British Empire during the time period covered by the course. Spring, odd-numbered years.
