SIGN 101 - Elementary American Sign Language I

(3 credits)
Study of basic signs of American Sign Language (ASL) and how they are used in different interactional situations. Translation of English to ASL and interpretation. Introduction to deafness, deaf culture, and special needs of the deaf and hearing impaired.As needed.This course examines human languages and their relationship to communication and culture.
