SPAD 330 - Sports Management

This introductory course on sports management provides an overview of the field of sports management and the sports industry. The course focuses on applying management principles within the structure of the sports industry and explores both contemporary issues and future considerations for organizations within the sports industry. Sport law and sport ethics concepts are also overviewed in this course. The course combines classroom instruction with an embedded 30-hour practicum, allowing students to gain direct experience in real-world sports management settings such as athletic departments, sports organizations, or community programs.
