ENGR 315 - Mechanics of Materials (3 credits)
Stress, deformation, and failure of solid bodies under the action of forces. Internal force resultants, stress, strain, Mohr’s circle, mechanical properties of materials, generalized Hooke’s Law. Axial, bending, and buckling loads and combinations. Includes two lecture hours and one three-hour lab. Prerequisite: ENGR 201 . Spring.
