NURS 220 - Introduction to Professional Nursing (3 credits) This course will provide students with an introduction to professional nursing. Students will gain insight into how the historical perspective evolved to present day nursing practice with implications for the future. Students will learn key components related to professionalism, roles of the nurse, civility, diversity communication, compassionate care, informatics, and evidence-based practice. The beginning steps related to clinical reasoning and how it relates to making effective clinical judgments will be introduced. Fall/Summer
