NURS 434 - Nursing Care of Children

This course will focus on the specialized knowledge and skills required for nursing care in various pediatric settings. It will also include health promotion and disease prevention for pediatric clients experiencing acute, complex, and chronic health alterations. Prioritization and management of care, and interprofessional communication and collaboration will be emphasized. The course will enable students to apply best practices to ensure effective clinical judgement while providing compassionate and safe patient and family centered nursing care that contributes to high quality outcomes.
