NURS 439 - Professional Role Immersion

(3 credits)
This clinical immersion course offers a hands-on experience, allowing the student to apply theoretical concepts to real-world healthcare scenarios. Students will actively manage acute and chronic health care conditions with an increased focus on clinical judgment and interprofessional collaboration. Students will develop advanced leadership and management skills, focusing on their ability to navigate complex healthcare challenges. The AACN core competencies and concepts will be woven into the course for student self-evaluation and progress in meeting learning outcomes. As an essential component of person-centered, quality care, the student will engage in meaningful practice experiences with individual/family involvement. This immersion experience aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, fostering confident, effective nurse leaders. Prerequisites: Junior Year Nursing Courses Fall/Spring
