BIOL 202 - Anatomy and Physiology II for UPMC Mercy Nursing

(4 credits)
A continued survey of human anatomy and physiology. Topics to include sensory systems, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, lymphatic and immune systems, respiratory system, urinary system, water and ion balance, digestive system, nutrition & metabolism, and the male and female reproductive systems. The course will emphasize connections between form and function, and the interconnectedness of the organ systems. The online laboratory includes practical investigations of topics from lecture, making use of both online materials as well as an at-home laboratory kit.  Prerequisite: BIOL 201 Anatomy and Physiology I for UPMC Mercy Nursing  and Lab.   Spring.
