HIST 101 - Europe and the World 1500-1815 (3 credits) Examines the evolution of the political, economic, religious, social, and cultural institutions of the European nation-states and peoples from the Age of Exploration to the Napoleonic Wars. Analyzes the fundamental events, themes and issues that shaped modern Europe. Promotes the understanding and appreciation of non-Western political, cultural, religious, social and economic systems by investigating European interaction with the people and institutions of Africa, Asia and the Americas. Fall, Summer.
