The School of Health Sciences and Education carefully blends a crafted Franciscan, liberal arts education with professional curricula developed to embrace the unique qualities of each and every person encountered while both a student and professional after graduation. The School of Health Sciences and Education includes the following degree programs: Master of Science in Cancer Care, Education (undergraduate and graduate), Exercise Physiology, Heath Care Studies, Master of Medical Science, Master of Health Science, Nursing (graduate and undergraduate), Master of Occupational Therapy, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Physician Assistant Sciences, Psychology, Public Health (undergraduate and graduate) and Social Work. The goals of each program in the SHSE are for each student to learn evidence-based professional practice, ethics, and care for the individual student, patient, client or population. The School of Health Sciences and Education aims to graduate students who are successful on their corresponding certification or Praxis exam (if applicable), demonstrate excellent professionalism, and possess the knowledge, skills, love of learning, confidence and ethical and moral values needed to be successful in a graduate program or in a career in health care or education.

Students within the SHSE can expect opportunities to begin applying their knowledge early in their academic careers and have opportunities for research, community engagement, inter-professional experiences, simulation and many others. Study abroad opportunities are available and popular for students in the SHSE. Facilities and resources include the new Experiential Learning Commons, dedicated classrooms and lab space, quality clinical, internship and student teaching opportunities and faculty who experts in their field and are accessible to students. Minors are also readily achieved in the areas of American Sign Language, Psychology, Spanish, Neuroscience, Healthcare Management, Special Education, Criminal Justice, and many others.
