The interdisciplinary Women’s Studies major is an opportunity for students to pursue their interests in diversity and to consider issues of social/political difference. Providing a concentrated area of study, the Women’s Study major is a good choice of a second major for those contemplating careers in business, law, medicine, or other human services professions.

Major Requirements (30 credits)
Elective Courses (12 credits)
Students will choose 4 additional courses from the following: 2 courses must be 300 level or higher and must come from 2 different disciplines. Chosen courses must fulfill each of the Skills, Knowledge, and Values areas with the fourth course coming from any area. An internship or independent study is encouraged.
Other options:
WS 250, 350, and 450, as well as WS 501, could fit any of the above three categories depending on the content of the course at the time it is taught.
