Fifteen credits above the 202 level in Spanish, to include SPAN 301 , 312 , and and 9 credits in courses such as literature, culture, and business taken abroad.

Advanced placement, particularly in a language or in mathematics, may increase the number of free electives; secondary certification to teach Spanish may be possible to obtain by careful use of free electives (see the Education Department chair for courses required).
