Program Description:

Studies of sociological perspectives focus on a variety of social issues such as gender, race, classes, family, environment and public health. This unique program prepares students for graduate studies and job placement in areas such as administration and social service agencies.

Total Credits Required:

15 credits

Minor Requirements:

SOC 101 - General Sociology
SOC 402 - Cultural Diversity

And choose 3 from the following for a total of 15 credits in Sociology:

SOC 102 - American Society and its Problems
SCWK 201 - Family in Theory and Practice
SOC 202 - Introduction to Women in Society
SOC 208 - Globalization and Development
CJ 303 - Victimology
SOC 304 - Social Psychology
SOC 312 - Medical Sociology
SOC 320 - Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
