Program Description:
A minor in forensic science requires completion of 20-21 semester hours of coursework in criminal justice, natural science, and social science. Specific course requirements are listed below. Only two courses can overlap between the major and the forensics minor. If additional courses are required for the minor, in order to satisfy requirements for the major, another course from the Natural Science category should be substituted to fulfill the minimum number of semester hours for the minor.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Ability to use and read chemical formulas, nomenclature and chemical reactions and to do calculations involving stoichiometry, mixtures, solutions, solubility, and chemical equilibrium
- Ability to apply scientific methodology to data collected in the field

20-21 credits minimum
