Program Description:
Information Technology is a fundamentally distinct sector of computing. Students from any major can take this minor and graduate with sufficient fundamental knowledge of the computing infrastructure upon which their chosen field depends. This will ultimately benefit the students’ future employer by ensuring that they are more technologically savvy than the average worker, leading to increased productivity and decreased costs for tech support.
Student Learning Outcomes:
The Information Technology minor prepares students: · With an introductory level of programming and networking. · To understand and operate a small IT division, including system administration and database management.
