The Master of Health Science (MHSc) Program is an online post-baccalaureate degree offered through Saint Francis University. The MHSc program is designed for professionals in the healthcare setting who hold a baccalaureate degree and desire to pursue graduate education. The multidisciplinary design of the program is designed to address the educational and practice needs of health professionals in their roles as clinicians, health educators, researchers, and health administrators.

The 30-credit program of course work is offered via the Internet and independent study modules geared toward the students individual educational needs. Most full time employed health professionals can complete the program of study within a two year period.

Admission Requirements


Applicants to the program must have graduated from an accredited institution, having obtained a bachelors degree. A cumulative QPA of 2.5 in the bachelor’s degree is required for consideration of acceptance into the program.

  • Current curriculum vitae
  • Non refundable application fee of $50.00 (check or money order made payable to Saint Francis University)
  • Official undergraduate transcript(s).

Admissions are done on a rolling cycle. Courses will be offered during Fall, Spring and Summer sessions. Students will be notified of available semester offerings after being accepted into the program.

Requirements for Degree Conferral


Students will qualify for the MHSc degree after completion of the 30-credit program of study, with a minimum quality point average (QPA) of 2.8. In addition, students must maintain a grade of “C” or better in each of their individual courses. All program requirements must be completed within 5 years of enrollment.

Up to 6 advanced level health science credits may be transferred in for credit toward your degree. Students must submit in writing a request to have course transferred, as well as course syllabus and transcripts. All requests will be evaluated by the MHS Director.
