BIOL 345 - Environmental Animal Physiology (4 credits) Animals undergo a variety of physical stressors in their lives such as temperature, light, oxygen, salt, and pH. In the face of all these factors, they must maintain bodies that function in order to survive. This course will explore the various physiological systems that animals possess to support their life histories and how these physiological processes acclimate and adapt to changing and sometimes extreme physical environments. We will explore animal physiology at molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and organismal scales to better understand how animals survive and thrive in their natural environments. Lecture and Lab. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111 Spring
