ZAAS 419 - Conservation and Environmental Education

Introduction to the theory and practice of environmental education. Environmental education is the discipline of educating the public, at all age levels, about the environment and its inhabitants. This course will provide a basic background in education theory and it will use outreach activities and events to immerse students in the process of providing education opportunities to the public. The course will partner with local schools, parks, and other organizations. Students will design curriculum products (e.g. Lesson plans, activities, evaluations, etc.), and assess learning outcomes in several settings over the course of the semester. Spring
