EDUC 418 - Leadership in Early Childhood Programs

This course addresses the skills necessary to build and develop leadership among children and adults in an early childhood environment. It also provides a perspective on how critical professionalism is in order to have a safe and healthy environment to foster learning for young children. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of concepts and topics: evaluation tools and assessments, interventions, teacher and staff training, types of instruction, curriculums, the learning environment, family communication, community partnerships, advocacy, health and safety, early childhood learning standards, and more.
