EDUC 422 - Organization and Administration of Early Childhood Programs

This course addresses the critical role that administration plays in developing and organizing a quality early childhood program or facility. It also provides a perspective on the influence that a well-organized program has on fostering learning for young children. Students will be introduced to a wide variety of concepts and topics: visions and missions, strategic plans, policies and procedures, handbooks, performance reviews and evaluations, staff development, early childhood learning standards, Early Intervention, social competence, positive behavior supports, program accreditation, and more.
