Bleed air from a hydraulic brake system. Troubleshoot hydraulic brake systems. Remove, inspect, and install a wheel brake assembly. Replace master brake cylinder packings seals. Inspect a brake for serviceability. Jack aircraft (**perform here if using systems trainer in project 1**). Inspect wheels, brakes, bearings, and tires. Inspect a tire for defects. Locate tire storage practices. Inspect, check, and service an antiskid system. Locate and explain procedures for checking operation of an antiskid warning system. Locate and explain troubleshooting procedures for an antiskid system. Service a nose wheel shimmy damper. Inspect nose wheel steering system for proper adjustment. Troubleshoot aircraft steering system. Troubleshoot nose wheel shimmy. Inspect and service landing gear. Service landing gear air/oil shock strut. Replace air/oil shock strut air valve. Troubleshoot an air/oil shock strut. Locate and explain the process for checking landing gear alignment. Inspect tube landing gear for damage.
This class consists of 3 lessons and 6 labs.
