MBA 548 - Global Supply Chain

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of supply chain structures and logistics functions necessary to plan, organize, and control global business logistics activities into an integrated system that achieves effectiveness and efficiency. Topics include international purchasing or sourcing; the advantages and the barriers of purchasing internationally; global sourcing; procurement technology; and purchasing processes. Emphasizes issues of contract administration, location, and evaluation of foreign suppliers, total cost approach, exchange fluctuations, customs procedures, and related topics.
