EXPH 395 - Fitness Programming (1 credit) The practical application of basic knowledge of exercise prescription to increase physical activity, enhance fitness, and reduce risk factors. Students in this clinical-based course work jointly with the course instructor/community mentor to assess, prescribe, conduct, and evaluate the effectiveness of personalized exercise interventions. Students will also practice behavior change strategies with their clients to improve program adherence and long-term physical activity participation. Three hours seminar/lab/clinical per week. Fall, Spring, and Summer (as needed). Prerequisites: EXPH 312 , EXPH 360 , EXPH 405 , PSYC 206 .
