ZAAS 150 - Aquarium Maintenance

The science and practice of maintaining freshwater and saltwater aquaria. Learn and do the maintenance tasks required to care for hobby tanks as well as a large, sophisticated aquarium system similar to that encountered at a public aquarium. Alongside the practical work, students will also learn the science behind the methods: nutrient cycling, buffer systems, biological filtration, stocking, planting, and aquarium design. As needed.
