MS 311 - Coral Reef Ecology

BIOL 311 (3 credits)
This course surveys the biodiversity and ecological relationships within coral reef ecosystems. Students will study the physical factors that drive reef diversity and the organisms that compose and live on the reef. Throughout the semester, students will develop familiarity with a particular coral reef region, typically in the Caribbean, before leaving on a week-long research trip to that ecosystem. Ecological studies and observations will be completed on site. Prerequisite(s):MS 101 BIOL 218 .   Spring semesters only.
