HIST 454 is a 400-level (intended for third or fourth-year students) exploration, at an advanced level, of a subject not currently offered in the History program curriculum. In general, HIST 454 courses cover historical event(s) or cris(e)s. Intended for students pursuing a major, minor, or other advanced study of History. These courses address the learning objectives of the History program. Each topic can be offered a maximum of three times before the department seeks full approval for the course. As needed.
