NURS 222 - Fundamentals of Nursing (4 credits) This course will focus on the maintenance of basic physiological needs of clients who need assistance with basic care. The student will also learn theory and evidence-based interventional skills fundamental to the practice of professional nursing. The student will build upon assessment skills, clinical reasoning, compassionate care, and communication principles. Integrated components within the course will include social determinants of health, diversity, nursing process and teaching/learning principles. The student will learn to apply all concepts in the clinical setting. Prerequisites: NURS 220 , NURS 221 Spring/Summer
