Knowledge of disease-causing organisms, mechanisms of infection and means of effective treatment of infectious disease is fundamental to the study and practice of clinical medicine. This course is designed to expand the student’s understanding of clinical microbiology and to provide a foundation for the application of microbiological principles to patient care.
